William Frewen, of Campden, Yeoman, dated 10 Nov. 1590, and proved at Canterbury 13 April, 1591:

To Wm. the lease of the house in which testator resides in Campden when 18, or when his mother dies or marries again:
Wife sole executrix and residuary legatee.Jno. FREEMAN, of Ebrington, bought and sold burgages here 1447; and Wm. FREEMAN, of that Place sold a burgage here 1509. Then Thomas FREEMAN was a witness to Thomas BONNER's will 1540 and Wm. FREEMAN a witness to TAYLOUR's will 1544. In 1608 there were John (a baker), Anthony (a butcher), and George (a fuller), all residing here, and aged about 40; and Francis (servant to Anthony), aged about 20. The said John died prior to 1624, and George issued a tradesman's token, and both were capital burgesses 1605. A John FREEMAN, senr., was one of the conveying parties in the vesting deed of 1627 re the Grammar School; and John, senr, and John, Junr., sign the Parish Register as chief inhabitants 1629. Richard FREEMAN was a juror on an inquisition held here 1632, and Wm. FREEMAN in 1642 left a bread charity to the poor of the parish. Margaret FREEMAN, widow, levied a fine of Campden property 1659.
THE WILL OF MARTHA FLETCHER OF CHIPPING CAMPDEN 1781

In the name of God Amen. I Martha FLETCHER of Campden in the County of Gloucester, being of sound mind and memory do make this my last will and testament in the manner following. That is to say first and principally I commend my soul to Almighty God and my body I desire may be decently buried in the same grave as my sister Elizabeth in Campden Church.
And as to my worldly estate it has pleased God to bless me with I dispose thereof as follows. First I give and bequeath to my sister Caroline FIELD the sum of ten pounds to be paid her in six months next after my decease. Also I give and bequeath unto my sister FIELD’s two saughters Jane and Lucy the sum of five pounds a piece to be paid as aforesaid.
Also I give and bequeath to my niece Martha PERRY the sum of ten pounds to be paid to her in such times and in such proportions as my executor thinks fit and proper. And also I give to the said Martha PERRY the bed which I usually lay upon together with all the furniture thereunto belonging to be delivered to her immediately after my decease.
Also I give and bequeath unto my niece Elizabeth HACKWELL the sum of five pounds to be paid to her in six months after my decease.
Also I give unto my niece Dorothy POWELL the sum of five pounds to be paid as aforesaid.
Also I give unto my niece Jane HICKMAN my mahogany [press?] standing in the back chamber over the kitchen.
And as to the rest residue and remainder of my fortune both real and personal together with together with all rents and arrears of rent which may be due at the time of my decease and all other of my effects of whatever kind not hereinbefore bequeathed I give and bequeath the same to my nephew Richard FIELD and I do declare nominate and appoint him the said Richard FIELD of Campden aforesaid as my sole executor
Of this my last will and testament at the same time cancelling and revoking all other wills.of me herebefore made or intende to be made. In witness thereof I have set my hand and seal, 16th June 1781.
