As described in the Vancouver Sun December 25, 2003, the sculpture located at the Quilchena Development in the Kerrisdale Quilchena Park area of Vancouver on Valley Drive near 33rd Avenue and Arbutus. Jim Hart has done a 10-metre totem pole for a royal precinct in Helsinbourg, Sweden, also restored a Haida Totem pole for the Smithsonian Institute in New York and carved a 13.7-metre totem for a private collector in San Francisco as well as the Respect to Bill Reid Pole at the Museum of Anthropology, UBC. Jim was an associate of Bill Reid's on the "Chief of the Undersea World" sculpture now at the Vancouver Aquarium, Stanley Park and the "The Raven and the First Men" located at the Museum of Anthropology (see my index page for both) Jim worked for Bill Reid from 1980 to 1984. He also worked for acclaimed Haida artist Robert Davidson.
