In the name of God, amen. I George FECKNAM of Morton hen Marsh in the county of Gloucester Mason being in good heath and of sound mind and understanding do make publish and declare this to be my last will and testament in manner and form following (that is to say). First and principally, I recommend my soul into the hands of God hoping through the merits of my only saviour Jesus Christ to have full pardon for all my sins and to inherit everlasting life and my body I commit to the Earth to be decently buried by my Executor herein after named and as touching and disposing of all my temporal Estate which it hath pleased God to bless me with. I give and dispose there of as follows first my will and desire is that all my just debts and funeral charges be well and truly paid and discharged and after that is done then I give and devise to my nephew Samuel Brooks son of my sister Ann all that my cottage or tenement garden and promises with there and every of their rights privileges and apportonances whatsoever there unto belonging to hold to my said Nephew Samuel BROOKS’ son Samuel BROOKS his heirs and assigns for ever. Also I give and devise to my Nephew Samuel BROOKS’ Son Samuel BROOKS all and singular my household goods, moneys and personal effects whatsoever and wheresoever that I shall die possessed off but subject to the legaciou here in after mentioned to be paid by my said Nephew Samuel BROOKS’ son Samuel BROOKS out of the personal Estate above given him. Item I give and devise to my niece Martha BROOM the sum of five pounds to be paid to her within twelve calendar months next after my decease by my Executor herein after named. Item I give and devise to my Nephew Samuel BROOKS three daughters Ann, Mary and Bethany three pounds a piece to be paid to them within twelve calendar months next after my decease by my Executor herein after named. And I do hereby constitute and appoint my said nephew Samuel BROOKS’ son Samuel BROOKS sole executor of this my last will and testament and I hereby revoke and make void all former Wills by me at any time heretofore made in Witness whereof I have here unto set my hand and seal the twenty fifth day of January in the year of our lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty two
